For almost 15 years, she has been helping countless professionals and businesses to “up their game” specifically in sales and leadership. With a high dose of expressive energy and emotional intelligence, she brings out the best in those around her through transformative coaching, speaking, and writing. You can find her latest book on Amazon – You're Leading Now – which helps leaders coach their own teams to achieve the big vision. Living in Scottsdale with her husband, and three kids. She enjoys cooking, working out, watching her kids “get it” and spending time with lots of extended family in the area. It’s time to talk Leadership with my friend, Tiffany Timmons-Saab!
The Notes
- Brings out the best in leaders through transformative coaching, speaking, and writing.
- She had a background in coaching and motivational speaking prior to starting her own business and writing her book.
- Her driving motivation was time. Leadership teams didn’t have the time or motivation to devour all the books needed to fully absorb the concepts Tiffany needed to get across. So she found herself putting those key concepts to rhyme, rhythm, and visuals, and from there the book was born.
- If you think about it, you can remember songs from decades ago because they use rhyme, song, and rhythm. It’s this exact concept that Tiffany uses in her book to help get the information to stick.
- Tiffany was working with a client who had some difficult conversations that needed to happen. She gave her client the rhyme; Dig for solutions empathetic to feelings, but don’t let attitudes run away with the dealings.
- Tiffany has a formula for this type of conversation for anyone who is interested, they just need to reach out to Tiffany to get it.
“I had four different roads that were all taking me in different places, and I ran myself ragged doing it. I had to pull back…and that’s when I started my own business.” ~ Tiffany Timmons-Saab
- Although Tiffany hasn’t replaced the income of her corporate job, the satisfaction she derives out of helping people realize their potential. That additional measure of what success looked like for her has made up for any loss in income. Tiffany was no longer ‘going home from work mad,’ and that made it worth it for her.
“When it comes to Familypreneurs, your lifestyle is different. Involving your kids it the biggest difference in those dinner conversations. (The kids) will shock you with what they pick up and insights” ~ Tiffany Timmons-Saab
- Biggest trap (in family and business) – There isn’t one big trap you can fall into, but there are a lot of little ones. The key is understanding that there are exchanges that you will make in order to have both a business and a family. The key is to understand your vision, and then ensuring your choices align with your vision.
- It took a day for Tiffany to write 80% of it, and another *two years* to actually be able to finish it. So keep going and take solace that even when you are making only a little progress, you are making progress. Record your progress so you can see it, that will help you appreciate just how far you’ve come.
“If it’s 80% good enough, move forward.” ~ Tiffany Timmons-Saab
- Tiffany is a true believer in the family dinner. She believes that it is where values are instilled and passed on not just parent to child, but also child to parent. It instills how we communicate, how they learn to communicate and that carries over to business as well. It’s how people learn how to make decisions.
- Free audio version of the book for my listeners, just tell Tiffany you’re a listener of the Familypreneur podcast at www.tiffanytimmons.com
